佛手柑精油與音樂對人體之紓壓成效

The Releasing Stress Effect of Bergamot Essential Oil and Music on Human

摘要


本研究主要探討佛手柑精油與音樂對於紓解壓力之成效,並觀察佛手柑精油或音樂是否具有加成作用,並以生理參數、心率變異參數(heart rate variability, HRV)及腦波為紓壓指標。實驗前先利用生理監測儀測量受測者的生理參數,如收縮壓、舒張壓、心跳速率及壓力指數;HRV分析儀測量受測者心率變異參數,如低頻功率、高頻功率,常規化低頻功率、常規化高頻功率及低/高頻功率比;腦波儀檢測受測者腦波參數,如α、β、θ、δ波、放鬆程度與專注程度。實驗以靜躺為控制組,3%佛手柑精油、音樂及3%佛手柑精油加音樂為實驗組,經過50分鐘後的瑞典式按摩或聆聽音樂後,再測量生理參數、心率變異參數及腦波。本研究實驗數據以單因子變異數分析(one way analysis of variance, one way ANOVA)比較3%佛手柑精油、音樂及3%佛手柑精油加音樂實驗前後生理參數、心率變異參數及腦波與控制組之差異。另外,以t-test比較3%佛手柑精油加音樂和3%佛手柑精油,實驗前後生理參數、心率變異參數及腦波之差異,以了解精油加音樂是否具有加成效果。實驗結果顯示3%佛手柑精油及3%佛手柑精油加音樂與控制組比較後,其對生理參數,如收縮壓、舒張壓、心跳速率及壓力指數有顯著減少,但音樂則沒有顯著差異,在心率變異參數方面,3%佛手柑精油及3%佛手柑精油加音樂可減少低頻功率、常規化低頻功率及低/高頻功率比;增加高頻功率、常規化高頻功率,而音樂只減少低頻功率及低/高頻功率比,在腦波方面,實驗組和控制組比較,都可增加α波及放鬆程度。另外,3%佛手柑精油加音樂和3%佛手柑精油比較,在生理參數、心率變異參數及腦波並無顯著差異,代表精油加音樂對人體之紓壓作用無加成作用。本研究是首度證實佛手柑精油或音樂,可能是透過降低交感神經活性、提高副交感神經的活性或增加α波,而達到放鬆紓壓的作用。

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of bergamot essential oil or music on releasing stress by using Swedish massage. Furthermore, to observe if the bergamot essential oil and music has synergistic effect on the releasing stress of human. The research used physiological parameters, heart rate variability(HRV) parameters , and electroencephalogram (EEG) signal as stress indicators. Before the experiment, we used physiological monitor to measure the subject's physiological parameters such as systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate and pressure index (PSI), HRV analyzer to measure the subject's HRV parameters, such as low frequency power, high-frequency power, normalized low-frequency power, normalized high-frequency power and low / high-frequency power ratio and EEG device to measure the subject's EEG signal, such as 鯂, 鮻鼦鯋wave, meditation and attention parameters. The objects are divided into control group and experimental groups of 3% bergamot essential oil, music and 3% bergamot essential oil plus music. After massaging for 50 minutes, we measured the objects' physiological parameters, HRV parameters and EEG signal again. One way analysis of variance (one way ANOVA) was used to compare the differences of physiological parameters, HRV parameters and EEG signal between pretest and posttest in the groups of 3% bergamot essential oil, music and 3% bergamot essential oil plus music and the control group. In addition, t-test is used to compare 3% bergamot essential oil plus music with 3 % bergamot essential oil. Thus, the differences of physiological parameters and HRV parameters between pretest and posttest can be observed if the 3% bergamot essential oil plus music has synergistic effect. The experimental results showed that no matter using bergamot essential oil and bergamot essential oil plus music to compare with control group, there were obvious decreases in physiological parameters such as systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, PSI, and HRV parameters such as low-frequency power, normalized low-frequency power, and low/ high frequency power ratio, and significant increase in high-frequency power, normalized high-frequency. But in he music group, there were only decreases in low-frequency power, and low/high frequency power ratio. In the electroencephalogram (EEG) signal, the experimental group all can induce an increase in power 鯂 wave, and meditation parameters when compared with control group. However, comparing the 3% bergamot essential oil plus music with 3% bergamot essential oil, there was no significant difference in physiological parameters, HRV parameters , and EEG signal. It means that there’s no good synergistic effect for releasing stress when the bergamot essential oil and music l acted together. This study is the first confirmed that Swedish massage with bergamot essential oil or music may act through decreasing sympathetic activity, increasing parasympathetic activity or increasing 鯂 wave to cause a relief of stress on human.
