目的:本研究旨在瞭解具有運動績優背景的軍校生選擇就讀軍校的動機。方法:本研究採用質性研究方法,以18位符合運動績優生標準的軍校學生作為研究對象,進行了一對一的深入訪談。訪談資料以紮根理論的途徑進行了分析和建構。結果:總共產生了110個一階主題,並進一步歸納出8個類別和2個次概念。這兩個次概念分別是內在動機和外在動機。整體而言,研究對象對於選擇從軍的動機主要以外在動機為主,這與大部分研究結果相符,然而,本研究也發現了一些不同的動機因素,例如軍校提供具體的體育相關科系、享受團體生活、保障未來就業機會並同時獲得學歷和證照、以及提前退休等。結論:當運動績優生面臨升學或就業抉擇時,有必要深入探究個人的內在動機和外在動機,同時,軍校在未來招募運動績優生時,可以參考本研究的結果,以提高高中(職)學生就讀軍校的意願。
Objective: The purpose of this study was to understand the motivation of military cadets with athletic background to choose military academy. Method: Qualitative research method was adopted, and one-to-one in-depth interviews were conducted with 18 military school students who were eligible for elite athletic performance. The interview materials were constructed by means of grounded theory. Results: A total of 110 first-order topics were generated, and 8 categories and 2 sub-concepts were further summarized. The two sub-concepts were intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. On the whole, most of the subjects' motivations were extrinsic motivations for joining the army, which was comparable to most studies. However, this study founded that some motivations were still different, such as military schools had sports-related departments, enjoying team life, guarantee future jobs obtaining diplomas and licenses, and retiring early. Conclusion: When students with high sports performance are faced with the choice of further education or employment, they can deeply explore personal intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. At the same time, when recruiting in the future, military academies can refer to the results of this study to improve the willingness of high school (vocational) sports students to enroll.
