摘要

中華民國過去參與國際競賽獲得佳績受人矚目，但是對於運動代表隊對外競賽的困境與參賽過程少有描述，筆者覺得有再加以探討的必要。本研究的目的在，探究1970年代前後臺灣體育運動隊伍赴外國競賽面臨的困境以及如何參與國際競賽。本研究透過史料的考察並且佐以口述歷史加以歸納與分析，由於當年有相關參賽經驗的選手較少，無法提供更多受訪者，是本研究的限制。本文主要結論：一、無法統治整個中國、不願更改名稱，讓臺灣不易參與國際運動賽會，尤其退出聯合國之後，國際社會的向中國傾斜更讓臺灣的體育運動寸步難行。；二、雖然大規模而正式的運動賽會受到奧會的規範，但邦交國之間的私下交流仍被允許，體育運動團隊在國家力量支援下，突破封鎖與友邦進行交流衝出困境。

The Republic of China held repeated success on international sports competition in the past. However, the difficulties of competition process that our sports delegation encountered are hardly described as known. Therefore, to do the research on the topic is quite important and necessary. The aim of the research is focused on investigating the difficulties of Taiwan Sports Delegation being abroad to participate in foreign sports competition, and on describing the way they participate in the competition in 1970s. The study analyzes and generalizes data by using historical research and oral history methods. Fewer interviewees of experiences on participating in the international sports competition are the limits of the study. The results are shown as the following: 1. Fail to govern the Mainland China and to rename the country, it leads Taiwan sports delegation to lose more opportunities on taking part in international sports competition. After being rejected by UN, Taiwan has more difficulties on participating in international sports competition as the result of the fact that the international society turns to lean against China. 2. Although the mass and formal sports contests are regulated by National Olympic Committee, private interaction among countries are still allowed. Being supported by our country, Taiwan Sports Delegation breaks through the barriers and maintains a stable interaction with our friendly states.
