Thanks for the localization, professional baseball is the most representative of professional sports in Taiwan which developed a Taiwan-specific stadium culture. The purpose of this study is to investigate and rationalize the phenomena by applying the hermeneutics approach. The research concludes that: Taiwan's baseball fans pursued the excitement of "live games" and furthermore, the live excitement helped them escape from the real life in the traditional baseball stadium culture. With the presentation of the huge TV wall, the baseball fans watch the live games and programmed scoreboard which transmutes the traditional culture into a new one, so-called "present absence." The virtual live games turn the fans' "absent" status into a "present" one which allowed the fans to cheer their teams in a pretended way.
