Organic Electroluminescent Display Technology

摘要


由於可製作出輕、薄、亮度高、反應快及省電之自發光顯示器,有機顯示技術已成為平面顯示器之熱門技術。在過去十年中,由於有機電激發光技術在材料開發及元件製程的快速進展,目前已有效率高之各種發光顏色的材料,配合全彩化及低溫多晶矽薄膜電品體技術的發展,全彩有機顯示器在大小尺寸之商品應用將指日可待。在本文中,將介紹有機顯示技術之概要及其部份相關技術之近來發展。

Organic electroluminescent technology (OEL) is the new star of the flat panel displays due to its great promise for making a thin, bright, light, fast and energy-efficient self-emitting display. En the last decade, OEL had been improved dramatically in material development and device fabrication. All colors are available now for both molecular and polymeric luminescent materials and their efficiency are extremely high. In combination with the advancement of full-color patterned methods and low temperature poly-Si technology, full color OEL display will soon be realized commercially in both small size and large size application. In this article, a basic contour of OEL and some recent development of its related technology will be introduced.
