台灣早期科普刊物《科學教育》考察

A Survey of "Science Education"-an Early Popular Science Magazine in Taiwan

摘要

《科學教育》由中國自然科學促進會發行，1955年3月創刊，1971年（？）停刊。中國自然科學促進會有意在台複製中國科學社，《科學教育》則有意在台複製中國科學社的《科學》。無如時移境遷，中國自然科學促進會和《科學教育》的影響，都不能和中國科學社及《科學》相比。本文根據文本，考察《科學教育》的創刊經過、刊別變遷、人事變遷、內容變遷等，管窺這份台灣科普史上的重要刊物。

”Science Education” issued by The Chinese Association for the Advancement of Natural Science (CAANS) started publication in March, 1955, and stopped publication in 1971 (?). The CAANS intends to copy Science Society of China which was initiated by Chinese students at Cornell University in 1914, and ”Science Education” intends to copy the Science of the Science Society of China, which was issued in 1915. But things change with the times, the CAANS and ”Science Education” cannot be mentioned in the same breath with the Science Society of China and Science. According to the texts of ”Science Education”, we survey its process of foundation, and the changes of personnel and content to explore this important magazine in the history of popular science in Taiwan.
