The Study of the Relationship between Different Levels of Self-Efficacy and Volleyball Overhead Ball Passing

摘要

The purpose of this study was to research the relationship between different levels of self-efficacy and performance of volleyball overhead ball passing. 188 Nan-Kai junior college 2nd grade male students were served as the subjects. The subjects were pre-tested with the overhead ball passing ability, then the best 30 of them were selected as the ”High self-efficacy group”. Other 30 intermediate subjects were formed as the ”Intermediate self-efficacy group”. The subjects with the least performance were selected as the ”Low self-efficacy group”. A 4 weeks (50 minutes per week) overhead ball passing training program will be applied to all 3 groups. The researcher tested each subject before and after every training session. The result of the statistical analysis were as followed: There was statistical significance between different groups (P<.05). The high self-efficacy was the group, which had the highest ability and was way superior to low self-efficacy group (P<.05). There was not statistical significance between intermediate and low groups. There was also statistical significance between the performances of each week (P<.05). The 4th week was the best week comparing with others, and following are 3rd, 2nd, and 1st
