Today from all corners of the world, people are experiencing high-tension dialogues between different religious believes and parties. The phenomenon has become so common an existence that the scholarly community must produce more philosophical understanding on these inter-religious dialogues. Furthermore, there needs to be a systematic organization of philosophical understanding that can push for unprejudiced conclusions from the dialogues. It is to solve the conflicts as well as to avoid barren results from the exchanges of different religious thoughts and concepts. This essay aims to build the aforementioned systematic organization. By exploring three topics - "inter-religious dialogues as a social action", "inter-religious dialogues as a humanistic exploration", "inter-religious dialogues as a vision of life", the author places inter-religious dialogues in the intellectual tradition of mankind, turning the exploration into an organized, meaningful study. How can we properly conduct a dialogue between multi religious society and mono-religious society? How can we define a common truth between different religions? By building a philosophical bridge to inter-religious dialogue, this essay hopes to help improve the practice of religious exchanges.
