摘要

多層面且複雜棘手的電子資源管理議題成為學術圖書館員當前的最大挑戰。最近，各種為館員分憂解愁的電子資源管理系統（e-resource management systems，簡稱ERMS）紛紛出籠。美國有些大學圖書館特別為電子資源管理成立評論小組。數位圖書館聯盟（Digital Library Federation簡稱DLF）的電子資源管理先導計畫（Electronic Resource Management Initiative簡稱ERMI）也致力於發展及推動電子資源管理系統及詮釋資料(metadata)的標準化。鑑於國外先進圖書館對電子資源管理議題的積極因應而國內相關資訊不多，筆者試從文獻擬對電子資源管理及其系統的內涵、發展與選擇作初步探討，或可供國人參考。

As the number of electronic resources has increased over the last ten years, the multifaceted and complex management issues have become a biggest challenge to academic librarians. In reducing the burden of librarians' workload, there are some new electronic resource management systems (ERMS) on the market. The importance of developing technology and content standards was being addressed, notably by the Digital Library Federation's Electronic Resource Management Initiative (DLF ERMI). Since same challenge faced by the academic librarians in Taiwan, the author tries to review the literature on the context, development and selection of ERM systems.
