母親對幼兒性教育態度之研究-以台南地區為例

A Study on Mother's Attitudes toward Young Children's Sex Education in Tainan Areas

摘要


本研究旨在探討母親對幼兒性教育態度及相關因素,藉以了解幼兒性好奇、性教育態度之現況,分析個人背景變項在幼兒性好奇、性教育態度的差異情形,進而探討幼兒性好奇與性教育態度的相關情形。本研究方法採用立意取樣,研究對象以台南縣市立案幼托園所5-7歲的幼兒母親為研究對象,共計有效樣本362份。以「個人背景資料調查表」、「知覺幼兒性好奇量表」、「性教育態度量表」為研究工具。 問卷資料經整理及統計分析後,研究發現如下:一、女生對「身體探索」的情形較男生多。二、七歲幼兒對「性行為探索」的情形較其他年齡幼兒多。三、其他婚姻狀況的母親知覺幼兒「身體探索」的情形較多。四、大學及大學以上教育程度的母親知覺幼兒性好奇之「性行為探索」較高。五、母親對於女生在性教育進行的方式、性教育教導的內容情況較對男生多。六、夫妻結婚且同住的母親對於幼兒的「性教育教導內容」較多。七、幼兒性好奇之「身體探索」、「生命探索」、「性行為探索」與「性教育進行的方式」呈顯著負相關。「生命探索」、「性行為探索」與「性教育教導的內容」呈顯著負相關。

The purposes of this study was to explore mother's attitudes toward young children's sex education and related factors, which also expect to find out young children's sex curiosity and sex education currently, to analyze the differences between demographics and young children's sex curiosity and the differences between demographics and sex education, and to explore the association between young children's sex curiosity and sex education. This study utilized a purposive sampling method. Participants were mothers of 5-7 year old children who were attending preschools or kindergartens in Tainan areas. Instruments included ”Demographics”, ”Perceptions of Young Children's Sex Curiosity Checklist” and ”Sex Education Checklist”. Three and sixty-two questionnaires were valid in this study. The findings were addressed as below. 1. Girls demonstrated ”body exploration” more than boys. 2. Seven year old children demonstrated ”sex behavior exploration” more than other age groups. 3. Mothers who were married and living with their spouses demonstrated higher scores on their perception of young children's ”body exploration” than mothers who were not married or not living with their spouses. 4. Mothers with higher educational background, such as college or graduate school, demonstrated higher scores on their perception of ”sex behavior exploration” than mothers without higher educational background. 5. Mothers provided ”processing methods of sex education” or ”teaching contents about sex education” for girls more than for boys. 6. Mothers who were married and living with their spouses demonstrated higher scores on understanding ”sex education contents” than mothers who were not married or not living with their spouses. 7. ”Body exploration”, ”life exploration” and ”sex behavior exploration” in young children's sex curiosity presented negative correlations with ”processing methods of sex education”. Additionally, ”life exploration”, ”sex behavior exploration” presented negative correlations with ”teaching contents about sex education”.
