摘要

本文旨在從歷史、縱深的角度，探討現代奧林匹克運動會發展及其所展現的特質，經相關文獻的蒐整與分析之後，認爲歷經百年、28屆的奧運會，呈現出公平競爭的奧運、全球化的奧運、政治影響下奧運、商業化的奧運、女性運動員參與成長的奧運、人文的奧運、環保的奧運及科技的奧運等特變質，在人類史上有其一定之位置存在。最後本文並據以提出後續研究之建議。

This paper uses historical and longitudinal perspective to inquire the development and characteristic of the modern Olympic Summer Games by document analysis. We found some characteristics which were presented in modern Olympic Summer Games. They included: fair play Olympic Games, global Olympic Games, political Olympic Games. commercial Olympic Games, the feminine athlete participation growing Olympic Games, humanistic Olympic Games, environmental protection of the Olympic Games, technological Olympic Games, and so on. Olympic Games, has its certain position existence in the human history. Finally, future research directions are recommended.
