有關“讚美”之語言行動意識及語用意圖使用-台日大學生之比較

An Study on Speech Act Consciousness and Pragmatic Illocution of Compliments-Comparison between Taiwanese and Japanese College Students

摘要


本稿以台日大學生為對象,針對「讚美」之語言行動的語言行動意識及語用意圖的使用情況所做的調查研究。主要的結果顯示:在「讚美」的語言行動意識及語用意圖的使用方面,台日大學生確實有其相異處,但就語用論之用法而言,台日用法是類似的。說話者藉由「讚美」行動想要表述的意思,可分為以下9種:(1)對優秀之人(事⁄物)的肯定評價(2)禮貌的表現(3)進行交談對話(4)鼓勵(5)感謝(6)祝福(7)達成說話者的利益(8)諷刺(9)開玩笑。而且,「讚美」之語言行動不只傳達說話者的語用意圖,也傳達說話者之感情,包括讚賞、肯定、欽佩、羨慕、慰勞、祝福、開心的正面情感,以及諷刺、攻擊之負面情感。

The study, aimed at Taiwanese and Japanese college students, explores speech act consciousness and pragmatic illocution in context of the speech act of compliments. The main results show: in terms of speech act consciousness and pragmatic illocution, Taiwanese and Japanese college students indeed show similarities and differences. However, in terms of pragmatic functions, there are similarities. Through compliments, what the speaker intends to express can be categorized into the following nine types: (1) praise on excellence (2) expression of politeness (3) conduction of conversations (4) encouragement (5) appreciation (6) benediction (7) achievement of the speaker's benefits (8) irony (9) joking. The speech act of compliments conveys not only the speaker's pragmatic illocution, but also expresses such positive emotions as praise, affirmation, admiration, envy, reward, benediction, and happiness, and negative ones like irony and attack.
