Recently plastic flow joining is used in joining the metallic sheet and the nut, especially in automobile industries. The joining area is deformed plastically by the simple forging compression tool. This process makes the sheet and the nut joining each other and there is no need for welding or extra joining components. The cost for this process of clinch joining could be down. However, the plastic deformation in the joining area is often the key to the quality of the product. Thus, in this paper, the process parameters which could affect the flow characteristics of the joining area are analyzed by FEM software. The characteristics of the process parameters obtained in this research can be provided for process design.
