Uncommon Duodenum-Jejunum Transection after Blunt Abdominal Trauma and Successful Treatment with Damage Control Surgery: A Case Report

Duodenum and jejunum double transection after blunt abdominal trauma is rare. Abdominal pain is the most common symptom. We reported an uncommon case with near total transection of duodenum and total transection of jejunum after blunt abdominal trauma. Early diagnosis of small bowel rupture is important, and enhanced computed tomography is more sensitive for the kind of injury. Damage control surgery should be considered if unstable vital sign occurred.
