Language education in the 21st century is no longer simply learning the language itself but must cultivate talents with international mobility and the ability to communicate across cultures. This study examines the effectiveness of flipped course by using the sample of students who are non-major Japanese language learners. The design of this flipping course emphasizes on the combination of "language" and "culture". The course structure includes Japanese learning, introduction of Japanese culture, and understanding the cultural differences between Taiwan and Japan along with the digital learning and assessment platform, Zuvio. The result indicates most students improve their Japanese skills and understand the culture difference through the culture theme and documentary films. And, the flipped course enhances learning effectiveness. Through this teaching practice, the researcher hopes it helps more students studying Japanese in the digital age.|科学技術の進歩につれてインターネットの普及やグローバル化の到来により、21世紀の外国語教育では単なる言語そのものを学習することだけでなく、それに加えて異文化交流能力を有する人材を育てることが必要である。
