Movement of globalization of art, initiated by Western world of art since the late period of 1990s, has been a profound influence on the college art education in Taiwan. This paper explores the impact of globalization of art toward contemporary Taiwan, and focuses particularly in the problems of curriculum planning of college art education. It points out that the concept of multiple curricula is out of keeping with contemporary art production internationally includes the forms of art production and modes of art reception. All these issues are related to the aim of art. In this paper the ideological contradictions on the curriculum planning are examined, and some of educational revisions are proposed.
