隨著都市因經濟發展人口密集增加，而城市逐漸擴大使綠色環境逐漸改為其他用途使用，直接影響城市居民享受綠色遊憩地方，臺灣城市居民想有綠色休閒活動地方跟世界先進國家一樣，都要有享受綠地的權益，因此都市農業逐漸萌生，高雄市為臺灣6個直轄市之一亦有同樣現象，而美濃區原為高雄市農業生產之重要區域，因居民需要休閒遊憩之處，且美濃區擁有特有農產品、豐富客家文化、好山好水及生態保育環境，美濃區自然變成為高雄市都市農業適合發展之區域，而本研究就以「三生」生產、生活、生態區位觀點探討美濃區都市農業適合發展之區位型態，另在各區位下可發展之規劃項目及最後綜整美濃19個行政區都市農業布局。
而本研究結果發現美濃區仍以生產區位為主之都市農業，以從事農產品生產，輔導發展美濃區特有之農產品及生鮮蔬果，滿足高雄市居民所需，以提升農民及相關產業高經濟所得為首要，另以生活面向之帶動地方相關產業發展與運用資源，發展休閒農業，及生態面向之開發自然生態公園及遊憩區與保護自然生態環境景觀為輔，使美濃區都市農業多樣化並滿足城市居民需求。
經本研究分析美濃區適合優先發展以「生產區位」型態之都市農業並按研究結果區分生產、生活及生態各面向逐次推動各區位之規劃項目並至美濃區各行政區探訪其地理環境、居民分布、農產品特色、人文風俗景觀、客家文物、氣候等後，歸納探訪結果擬定美濃區都市農業行政區布局，以完成美濃區都市農業一個完整的藍圖。

With the densely populated cities due to economic development, and the gradual expansion of cities, the green environment is gradually being used for other purposes, which directly affects the enjoyment of green recreational places by urban residents. Therefore, urban agriculture is gradually emerging. Taiwanese urban residents want to have green leisure activities. Like advanced countries, they all have the right to enjoy green space, so urban agriculture has gradually gained attention. Kaohsiung City is one of the six municipalities directly under the central government in Taiwan. The same phenomenon, and Meinong District was originally an important area for agricultural production in Kaohsiung City, due to the needs of residents. It is a place for leisure and recreation, and Meinong District has unique agricultural products, rich Hakka culture, good mountains and water, and ecological conservation environment. It has become an area suitable for the development of urban agriculture in Kaohsiung City. This study discusses Meinong from the perspective of production, living and ecological location. The suitable location type of urban
agriculture in the district will continue to discuss the projects that can be developed and planned under each location and the urban agriculture layout of the 19 administrative districts of Meinong.
The results of this study found that Meinong District is still dominated by the production location of urban agriculture, engaged in the production of agricultural products, and guided the development of Meinong District's unique agricultural products and fresh fruits and vegetables to meet the needs of Kaohsiung City residents, and to improve the high economic income of farmers and related industries. In addition, it is supplemented by the development of local related industries and the utilization of resources, the development of leisure agriculture, and the development of natural ecological parks and recreational areas and the protection of natural ecological environment landscapes from the perspective of life, so as to diversify urban agriculture in Meinong District and meet the needs of urban residents.
According to the analysis of this research, Meinong District is suitable for giving priority to the development of urban agriculture in the form of "production location", and according to the research results, it distinguishes production, living and ecological aspects and promotes the planning projects of each location one by one, and visits the various administrative districts of Meinong District to visit its geographical environment and the distribution of residents. After analyzing the characteristics of agricultural products, cultural customs, Hakka cultural relics, climate, etc., the results of the visit are summarized to formulate the layout of the urban agricultural administrative district of Meinong District, so as to complete a complete blueprint of urban agriculture in Meinong District.
