摘要

香草植物不僅在氣味及功效受到重視，外觀造型上亦是觀花、觀葉植物素材，具備高度的景觀及經濟價值符合時代潮流趨勢，可作為產業發展並實際應用於日常生活中，且具有與一般景觀植物不同的優點及特性深具推廣潛力，但一般民眾認知較淺應用上尚未普及，這正是引起本文研究的動機。
本文探討香草植物在景觀規劃運用上之方式與栽植種類。透過相關文獻回顧、資料收集、案例調查分析，歸納出適合在臺灣環境生長之香草植物種類及景觀應用方式。分別尋找北中南地區共六個案例調查介紹。
本研究以應用觀點出發，歸納整理出香草植物運用方式、使用者需求分類、景觀應用上之注意事項及適合臺灣栽植之香草植物種類，並以實地規劃設計之個案研究，將香草植物的認知與應用引介至實際生活中，提供社會大眾運用。

Fragrant Herbs are valued for their good smells and medicinal effects, and their flowers and leaves are highly regarded for various purposes. They are valuable for landscape use and economy in terms of a trend of life style. They are perfect for development as industrial materials and practical applications in our daily life. They are exceptionally potential with advantages and characteristics different from typical landscaping plants. However, this study investigates how herbs are used in terms of landscape planning and the types of herb used. Through review of literatures, data collection, case investigation and study, the types of herbs suitable for the current environment of Taiwan, how they are used in landscape gardening are found. In total 6 cases across the country were selected for introduction.
Starting from a practical point of view, this study intended to summarize the types of user and demand, how herbs can be used in oun daily life, some notes for applications in landscaping, and the types of herb that fit for the current environment in Taiwan. Cases involving practical planning and design work were also studied in order to introduce the knowledge and application of herbs to daily life for the general public.
