An Introduction to Japanese and Chinese Comparative Literature Research

摘要

自古以來，日本受到中國文化相當深遠的影響，特別在文學的創作與發展上，日本文學受到中國文學很大的啟發。日本古代知識分子對中國文化一直抱有極大憧憬，中國的文化思維與語言表達方式，在不知不覺中，早已成為日本文人思考與創作的重要養分來源。因此，在日本文學研究的範疇裡，中國文學如何影響了日本文人創作與思想價值的形成，漢字文化圈文學對日本文人的書寫創作帶來了什麼樣的影響等問題，一直是古今學者所關心的重要課題。本文試從和漢比較文學研究的觀點，重新審視和漢比較文學研究的目的、內涵與課題，並整理了進行「和漢」「比較文學」研究的實質方法與步驟等，以為後學入門參考，並期日後台灣學界在和漢比較文學研究領域能有創新的突破，進而深化日本文學研究內涵。

Since ancient times, Japan has been heavily influenced by Chinese culture, especially in the creation and development of Japanese literature, which has been greatly enlightened by Chinese literature. The ancient Japanese literati had strong admiration for Chinese culture; therefore, both the thought of Chinese culture and the Chinese mode of linguistic expression have almost unconsciously become a great source of Japanese thought and literary creation. As a result, many issues, such as the role Chinese literature played in the formation of Japanese literature and thought, as well as the influence of Chinese literature on Japanese literary creations, have been important subjects of concern for both ancient and modern scholars. This paper aims to reexamine the goals, content, and topics of research comparing the literatures of Japan and China. It will further clarify essential research methods and procedures as a reference guide for beginners, in the hope that there will be breakthroughs in Japanese and Chinese comparative literature research in Taiwan, thereby broadening the research horizons of Japanese literary studies in the future.
