氫氧燃料電池之微型化設計及在電化學教學應用之研究

摘要


本文主要目的是將氫氧燃料電池加以微型化,對燃料電池電極之處理加以改進,並配合廢棄物之再利用來設計一套具有高效能和環境友善的發電方式,此外本設計可供電化學實驗教學應用之「微型氫氧燃料電池」。每套微型氫氧燃料電池所需之藥品很少且皆可回收重複使用,約只需飽和硫酸鉀溶液8~10mL。充電時間很短,大約只需2-3 分鐘的充電時間,即可使時鐘等電器運轉兩個小時左右。微型氫氧燃料電池體積小攜帶方便,操作容易又安全,符合環境友善的綠色實驗,極適合於電化學教學演示及學生親自做實驗。使其在電化學教學上更為生動有趣,俾便提高學生學習電化學之興趣及教學成效。

It is important and interesting to carry out the electrochemistry experiments with the microscale equipments in the chemistry course. The main purposes of this article are to micro-miniaturize the apparatus, to improve the treatment of the electrodes, to design one set of high efficiency and environment-friendly hydrogen / oxygen fuel cell with recycled matters. Furthermore, it may be possible to use this hydrogen/oxygen fuel cell to teach the electrochemistry. When using this new simple microscale equipments, only about 8 to 10 mL of saturated potassium sulfate solution is needed as the electrolyte solution which can be reused. It can operate 2 hours or more after charging 2~3 minutes, on some electric equipments, such as the clock, the music card and the calculator and so on. Because the by- product is water during these micro-scale electrochemistry experiments, pollution is greatly reduced. Therefore, it is worthwhile to use this microscale hydrogen/oxygen fuel cells in the electrochemistry experiments.
