國際觀及國際參與－從美國護理科學院談起

Global Views and International Participation-From the Experience of the American Academy of Nursing

摘要

隨著國際化趨勢以及國際競爭力的提倡，近年來，不論是教育體系或執業職場中，國際觀(global view)的培育以及國際參與(international participation)儼然已經成為不可或缺的一環。護理專業更不能置外於外在環境的變遷，應透過個人專業之準備、積極參與各項國際學術交流活動以及國際會議，掌握國際醫療及護理專業的新趨勢，促使護理專業發展接軌國際。本文將從個人參加美國護理科學院(American Academy of Nursing, AAN)談起，並透過個人長期以來建立國際學術交流及參與國際事務的經驗，提出護理人員培養國際觀及參與國際事務的建議。

Nowadays, with the promotion of international trends and international competitiveness, not only in educational system but also in work places, global views and international participation have been considered necessary. As nursing professionals, we should keep pace with the changing environment in preparing self-development to actively participate in the international affairs and conferences. Through these activities, we can grasp the new trends of international healthcare and nursing profession and expand to international community. The aims of this article are to: (a) share my personal experiences in participating in the American Academy of Nursing, (b) share my long-term experiences in the development of international academic cooperation and participation in international affairs, and (c) provide suggestions for the nursing professionals to cultivate their global views and international participation.
