In the era of knowledge-based economy, intellectual capital is believed to be an intangible asset of an organization and a source of value development. One source of value for a volunteer sports team comes from the intangible intellectual capital of the team. This research includes in-depth interviews on the topic of intellectual capital in sports teams with the volunteer team managers at Panchiao Stadium and Hsinchuang Stadium in Taipei County. The research results highlight the following twelve key aspects of the teams: innovation ability, quality of processes and procedures, flexible organization design, unique cultural value system, the ability to attract and retain high-performance employees, customer satisfaction, good relationships with cooperation partners, volunteers that are more qualified with key knowledge, volunteer training, and education training.
