There has been much research regarding the sale of online tickets, all of which refer to the secondary airline ticket market. No research, however, has taken place with respect to the first airline ticket market. This paper describes the old selling system and proposes a new model for selling tickets for Vietnam Airlines. The new model is based on an Agent system, and named ASV (Agent-based selling model for Vietnam Airlines). This new model helps Vietnam Airlines's agencies buy cheapest tickets of which many can be offered automatically for resale. The unique contribution of this paper is to be found in the resale of such tickets.
