The teaching of calligraphy has been greatly influenced by the increasing use of computers for communication. Calligraphy’s historical function as a written language has been dramatically replaced by calligraphy as an art form. The goal of this study is to help teacher-preparing institutes gaining some forefront thoughts of where a course in calligraphy appreciation should be positioned in the nine-year consistent curriculum reformation. The study will take into account the impact of the curriculum integration movement recently.
