The Development of Digital Publishing Industry in China

摘要

行政院研考會於2007年8月29日至9月3日舉行之「第14屆北京國際圖書博覽會」期間，派員考察政府出版品在大陸地區之市場及行銷情形，並瞭解大學圖書館對台灣政府出版品之需求及相關運作。
本次考察參訪了北京師範大學及中國政法大學兩所大學圖書館，瞭解其對政府出版品的需求，同時也觀察到中國電子期刊數據化及期刊網路出版產業的發展情形。另因本會正推動政府出版品之隨選列印(Print on demand, POD)，本次考察亦參訪知識產權出版社所屬北京中獻拓方科技發展有限公司，瞭解該公司的POD產能以及中國POD產業受限的因素。

During the period of ”The 14(superscript th) Beijing International Book Fair 2008” held from August 29 to September 3 in 2007, the RDEC sent its staffs to visit Beijing to observe the marketing performance of Taiwan's government publications in China and particularly with a view to learn two major university libraries' procurement for Taiwan's government publications. From both visits we realized that the digitalization and the web publishing of Chinese periodicals are really prospering. In addition, we also visited the Chungxian Tuofang Technical Development Corporation, which currently plays a key role in the field of POD (print on demand) techniques in China. We acknowleged its great potential of POD production and found some factors that restrict the development of POD in China.
