摘要

本篇論文的主題是論述英國前現代時期戲劇《海之旅》（The Sea Voyage）和《英格蘭三兄弟之旅》（The Travel of the Three English Brothers）中的空間、旅行與文化異質的呈現。十九世紀是西方霸權擴張的黃金時代，但是資料顯示，前現代時期的西方國家早已藉著各種管道進行軍事、政治、商業及領土的延伸。空間跨越和帝國主義的建構呈現於各類文獻資料，本文就殖民論述探討兩本劇作中所呈現的地理與政治運作的關係，和英國屬性的建構。
