台北市立圖書館自動化系統暨網路資源服務發展現況及方向
The Development and Goals of Networked Information Services of Taipei Municipal Library Automation System

Taipei Municipal Library has installed the automation system since 1992. We have been working hard to integrate all kinds of traditional services with digitized tools. In recent years, we are working to distribute jobs to separated servers to share the risk of system crash and the host workload, widen the bandwidth of network to support multimedia traffic, and develop an integrated graphic service environment for users.Therefore, we make some goals on networked structure planning. As far we use browser as the integrated service interface instead of other kinds of application clients in near future. We hope that can change the image of traditional library system into a brand new one, which is to setup a fast updated information environment over Internet.
