從臺灣的多元文化發展兼論公共圖書館的多元文化服務

摘要

多元文化起源於西方多族裔的社會，強調不同文化的共存共榮。在臺灣建構出四大族群後，多元文化已經成為緩和社會對立的政治正確意識。本文首先闡述多元文化的意義，其次分析臺灣多元文化主義的發展，以及多元文化教育在臺灣的困境，最後論述公共圖書館應如何回應多元文化的精神。

Multiculturalism, developed in multi-ethnic societies in western countries, has become a political correctness for decreasing conflicts among different groups.
