Ranking Regional and Geographical Science Journals in Taiwan

摘要

本文的目的是在為國內「區域研究及地理學門」的相關專業期刊作排序。我們所收入評比的名單主要是根據華昌宜(1998)所收入的名單，並經過評估後刪減三本期刊所得，所以參與評比的期刊共十七本。我們主要分成三個評估區間來進行評估：(1)1992-1996年 (2)1997-2001年 (3)1992-2001年。在研究方法上，我們利用主觀的「學者對相關期刊的評價」與客觀的期刊「被引用的頻率」等指標進行綜合評估。在主觀評估方面，我們採用的是問卷調查的方式，而在客觀評估方面，則是利用人工的方式進行查閱並計數每一本期刊被引用的次數。最後綜合前述的主客觀指標，並利用主成分分析法(Principal Component Analysis)獲得每一種期刊的綜合評價分數，最後以此分數為分群的標準，進而利用群落分析法(Cluster Analysis)進行分群，得出「國內區域研究及地理學門」的品質等級。在我們的分析結果中，1992-1996年，評價為第一級的期刊為運輸計劃季刊。在1997-2001年，評價為第一級的期刊有4種，包括：運輸計劃季刊、戶外遊憩研究、都市與計劃、國立台灣大學建築與城鄉研究學報。而在1992-2001年，則有運輸計劃季刊評價為第一級。

The purpose of this study is to rank scholarly journals in regional and geographical science published in Taiwan. Our ranking is based on the journals' quality for the period 1992-2001, which is further divide into two sub-periods, 1992-1996 and 1997-2001. We use a journal's impact factor and scholars' subjective evaluation of the journal as indicators of quality. By a paper's impact factor we refer to the total number of times the journal's papers are cited divided by the number of paper published by the journal in a given time period. A journal's subjective evaluation is solicited by a survey of scholars whose research area belongs to regional and geographical science.
