直接外人投資、貿易及其與市場結構、績效之關聯性—臺灣地區製造業之個案分析

摘要

本文旨在藉由外人投資、貿易與市場結構、績效互動關係之實證，尋出彼此的因果與影響因素。在當前經濟與貿易自由化、國際化潮流下，尤其亞太地區產業分工與交互投資的熱絡超過全球其他地域，台灣地區產業在該地區的投資與貿易交流尤受影響。在此時刻，國內各廠商經營方向的改變可藉由貿易與外人直接投資的方式而調整，貿易與投資正是廠商在開放體系下，因應環境變遷的重要手段之一，且其同時受到國內產業運作之市場結構影響；事實上，貿易與投資及經濟環境變遷與經營策略轉向更對產業績效產生衝擊。很顯然地，如何進一步將上述互動關係加以實證，正是本文研究的關鍵，且因納入該項互動關係實證結果之資訊，冀望有利於國內產業問題之改善及調適措施擬定之參考。

This study tries to investigate the relationships among market structure, direct foreign investment, trade and market performance. Since division of labor and mutual investment have been booming in Asia-Pacific region, we anticipate that they have some impacts on trade, investment and market competition of the industries in Taiwan. By conducting appropriate empirical analysis, we find our results confirm several industrial economic theories and give some suggestions for promoting Taiwan's industrial development.
