This study explored parents' attitudes toward negative influences of computer use for young children in Taoyuan county. A questionnaire about attitudes toward the negative influences of computer use was developed. The questionnaire consisited of four factors, including physical influence, educational commodity, bias content, and negative learning. The research employed structural equation modeling to analyze the data. Based on the results, the measurement model with confirmatory factor analysis indicated the good fit of the model to the data, and the structural model with path analysis supported the study hypotheses. The results showed that the parents' considerations about the physical effects and educational commodity could influence their negative attitudes towards the learning content and effects by using and playing computer for young children.
