台北雙城記？一個選舉地理的考察

摘要

本文以台北縣市過去各層次的選舉結果（總統／縣市長）為例，探討兩縣市除了相鄰與同一縣市內的鄉鎮市區民進黨選票互動關係外，是否存在其他決定鄉鎮市區選票互動影響的因素。藉由空間分析方法的運用，顯示除了代表地理位置的「鄰近空間關係」與「行政區域劃分」會影響鄉鎮市區之間選票相互關係之外，各鄉鎮市區之間的社經發展程度，反而更顯著影響鄉鎮市區選票之間的互動效果。換句話說，除了鄰近或是同一縣市鄉鎮市區的選票增加，會促使該鄉鎮市區的選票提升之外，相同社經發展程度鄉鎮市區選票的增加，同樣會使得該鄉鎮市區選票提升，且其選票提升的程度比受到鄰近或是相同縣市等地理性質影響的程度更大。因此，本文強調選舉地理研究的區域性不只空間距離與行政區域劃分，亦因著重在整體地區社經發展的關係，以不同網絡背景來探討選票之間互動影響關係的方式。亦即台北縣市的雙城代表性，不只是受到鄰近性質的地理因素影響，且選票的互動關係，跨越了行政區域的劃分，而是受到社經發展程度的影響。我們依據選舉地理空間分析所提供的架構，提出一項更為廣泛探討鄰近(neighborhood)與環境背景(context)對於選票互動關係影響的分析方式。針對未來的選舉地理研究，發展出一項更為完善的分析模式與研究架構。

This paper aims to investigate the electoral interaction between the two Taipei cities. We argue that there is another social network factor that can be used to explain the connections between the two Taipei cities beyond the electoral geography. We re-examine the spatial effect using three definitions: (1) the neighborhood interaction of the region, (2) the administrative divisions of the region, (3) the socioeconomic development degree of the region. The empirical result using a spatial autoregressive model shows that the interaction of the region in a social network (socioeconomic development) is more important than the neighborhood interaction of the region and the administrative divisions. The conclusion shows that the social network interaction of the region must be considered in election analysis.
