音樂能紓解人的身心痛苦,其於坊間與臨床醫療工作中之應用擁有悠久的歷史,本研究之主要目的在探討團體音樂治療於改善住院精神症狀與人際互動之成效。 本研究採前實驗法中之非同一進段研究法設計,研究對象自某綜合醫院80年11月至81年4月精神住院病患中取樣,樣本依住院時間先後順序,分別於四梯次接受團體音樂治療活動,每梯次中樣本數目十位,以每週五次,每次一小時,連續兩週方式提供。治療過程由經過訓練之護理師採音樂欣賞、經驗分享與團體討論方式進行。治療成效之評值將以治療前與後,醫護人員針對其精神症狀與人際互動量表評值之。 資料經描述統計(如:百分比·平均值等)與推論統計(如:卡方檢定·t值檢定與相關法等)以驗證性成效,本研究成果支持音樂治療之臨床應用與推廣之價值。
Music therapy’ has been applied and studied since B.C. 500. Research findings supported this treatment. The purpose of the project is to examine the effects of group music therapy on improving psychotic symptoms and personal interactions of psychotic patients and improving job satisfaction of nursing staff in a general hospital. One-group pre-experimental research design was conducted. A sample of 40 patients was selected in 4 different time periods, based on patients edmission dates, from November 1990 to April 1991. Subjects in each treatment period participate in ten-hour group music activities which were provided by one of five trained nursing therapists, 3 times a week for 2 weeks. The treatment activities included music listening, experience sharing, and group discussion. Pre and post self-report assessment measures were used, The measures were psychotic symptoms and personal interaction questionaires and nursing staff satisfaction scale. Statistics techniques, such as chisquare and paired t test were used. Findings showed the effects “of group music therapy not only on improving withdrawn and anxious behaviors and enhancing personal interactions, but also on keeping satisfaction of nursing staff. The most significant contribution of the study is to provide better care and improve nursing staff morale. The research outcomes supported the value of music therapy on clinical application.
