Applications of Biotechnology in Oil and Gas Industry

The latest applications of biotechnology (including microbial engineering and enzyme engineering) in oil and gas industry are reviewed. Microbe have been applied to preparing polymer (Xanthan), MEOR, water-shutoff, processing polluted water, treating environment pollution. Enzymes have been applied to releasing formation damage, acidizing fluid, sand controlling and water-shutoff.
