Mindfulness is rooted in Buddhism. It is a way of disciplining one's mind and existence. Various psychotherapies and mental health theories based on mindfulness have been developed. However, no studies have tried to provide an integrated framework of a mindfulness-oriented psychotherapeutic processes. This article starts from the meaning, worldview, therapy-view, and practice of mindfulness. It then incorporates the key contents of the 4 main mindfulness-oriented psychotherapies (MBSR, MBCT, DBT, and ACT). The goal is to inform the general psychotherapeutic process model to propose an integrated framework of mindfulness-oriented psychotherapeutic processes.
