腫瘤專科護理師的培育與發展

國內各大醫院試行專科護理師制度已經一段時間，其間立法院也於民國89年通過「護理人員法」第七條之一第三項修正案-將「專科護理師」與「護理師」、「護士」一起，成為護理人員之法定名稱之一，並經總統公告。但是直至目前，國內產官學者對於專科護理師培育方式尚無共識，臨床專科護理師的執業模式也尚待建立。和信治癌中心醫院在醫護共識協調下試著發展專科護理師制度，訂定人員培訓細則和執業模式，加入醫療團隊來共同照顧我們的癌症病人。根據我們的經驗，因為專科護王師加入醫療團隊後所建立新的醫護照顧模式，使我們的病人獲得更完整的照顧。專科護理師所接受的進階護理訓練再加上所提昇的醫療專業知識，使他們成為一群獨特的健康照顧提價者。透過我們實務經驗的累積，我們規劃其執業範疇並擬出專科護理師的培育計劃，希望能制定統一訓練標準和認證制度，以保障醫療照護的品質。

Over the past few years, an increasingly number of “nurse practitioners” or “clinical nurse specialists” have begun to practice at the various levels within hospitals in Taiwan. The Nurse Act was revised and passed by legislative process and the amendments officially announced by President in 2000. The title of “Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)” became a legitimate designation in nursing profession from that point onwards. However, thus far, a standardized training program for and the scope of practice of this newly established group of nursing professionals have not been well established. Therefore, we developed a pilot project to establish professional training program for CNS and define the scope of patient care by CNS. During the past three years, we have clearly demonstrated that the CNS trained under a standardized program and practice within a defined protocol can result in more comprehensive and more consistent care for our cancer patients. Finally, because CNS share some of the work load with the house staff of our hospital, this allows the latter more time to pursue their professional training.
