Since the mid-1980's academic researches have been focusing on guanxi, which contributes greatly to the theory and business execution. Due to the culture gap, the misunderstanding of guanxi can negatively impact the Chinese business community. In the introduction and discussion on guanxis' definition, we will establish a framework for the understanding the formation and the concept of guanxi. Furthermore, we will refer to Chinese guanxi's assumed relationships, which make the Chinese guanxi special. Lastly, we will offer a guanxi continuum and a new definition, which will allow reader to better understand Chinese guanxi.
