This study examined relationships between learner satisfaction and efficacy of a self-study multimedia program in Chinese medicine nursing. In this quasi-experimental study, forty subjects were enrolled in a 15-week self-study multimedia program in Chinese medicine nursing. The SPSS 14.0 software package for Windows was used for data analysis. Analytical results demonstrated efficacy of self-study significantly associated with learner satisfaction with the multimedia program. Improvements were noted in motivation to learn and to fulfill related project. In addition, satisfaction with the multimedia instruction program was a significant predictor of self-study efficacy. Most subjects indicated that the multimedia program significantly improved their Chinese medicine nursing skills and knowledge.
