El Altar De Antepasados En El Origen De Las Creencias Orientales Y Occidentales

A present generalized tradition in the Eastern religions is to make offerings of food to the ancestors, for which they can assimilate its spiritual energy, aiming to avoid that leaving behind the material elements, basic for their vital development in this physical level, could be too sudden and traumatic. Also in the origin of the Western spiritual believes, provisions offerings were widespread to encourage the existence of the deceased. After the new present religions had arisen, about two millennia ago, whereas in the East this practice has been preserved, in the West, has fallen in disuse and generally has been rejected.
