In a mixed jurisdiction such as Quebec, legal education also reflects mixed characteristic, 1 ike two major universities in Quebec: McGill University offers the combined B. C. L. /LL.B. program, leading to law degrees in civil law and common law studies which will take 4-5 years; the University of Montreal offers 1 year North American Common Law (JD) program, which is add on 3 years civil law studies. The orientation, requirement and trainning method of these two programs are all different, but they both reply the legal practice and highlight the tropism of professionalization of legal education.
