本研究的目的,是透過對鹿港木工藝產業的變遷過程之整理與掌握,以求建立未來相關木工藝產業研究的基礎。主要研究的結果整理如下:(1)清朝初期家具等生活用具幾乎全由大陸購入;中期以後,因為寺廟建築的需要而從大陸招聘匠師,並逐漸因匠師的定居而在當地生根,開始在當地產製木工藝產品。(2)早期木工藝產業的重心在於寺廟、住宅的建設;後來神像、佛具、雕刻、家具等項目逐漸崛起而成為主力;進入日治時期後,則是受到中國式與日本式、西洋式交流的刺激之影響。(3)早期是完全生活實用取向的產業形式,現在則已被視為一種文化產業的形式;鹿港木工藝產業予人們的印象逐漸變化,從早期的「經濟型」轉向「文化型」。
This research is to analyze the multiple changes of wooden craft industry in Lu-Gang through its historical background, then establish the research base of the wooden craft industry in the future. The conclusions of the research are as follows: (1) In the beginning of Q'ing dynasty, living equipments such as furniture were almost purchased from the mainland of China, and temple carpenters were centralized to Lu-Gang, as a first settlement of woodworkers and a base for the future development of wooden craft industry. (2) The center of wooden craft industry changes from the establishment of temples and houses in the early period to Buddhist statues, sculptures, furniture and so on, which rise generally. Further, wooden craft industry met a mutual influence from Chinese culture, Japanese culture and Western culture in Japanese occupation era. (3) Wooden craft industry's image is slowly transited from ”economic pattern” to ”cultural pattern” for industrial promotion in Lu-Gang.
