As the United Nations passed ”Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities” in 2006,it is a historical page of protecting the human rights of people with disabilities. The employment services for people with disabilities have been a long time in Taiwan. Although these services help people with disabilities to integrate to normal society and make them to be independent, the using rate of these services is still low. Besides, the design of services is not complete and lacks of convenience for this group of people. In view of this, this article will discuss the employment theory of people with disabilities、the relative laws and the state of people with intellectual disabilities being employed. Combining with the theory and practice, this article concluded some advices for designing practical guidance of occupations of the people with intellectual disabilities should considerate their experiences for early years, physical situations, personalities, and the potential influences of their physical and mental from the occupations. In this way, the working rights of people with intellectual disabilities will be protected entirety.
