Numbers of dementia patients in Taiwan are getting more and more, and so are numbers of long-term care facilities. As time goes by, people care about not only 'safety' but 'personalization' and 'privacy' in facilities. Thus 'Public Environmental Checklist', 'Residential Environmental Checklist' and 'Residents-Behaviors Checklist' were developed in this study. 'Public Environmental Checklist' involves safety, stimulation, comfort and convenience, and identification. 'Residential Environmental Checklist' includes safety, personalization, comfort and convenience, and privacy. 'Resident-Behaviors Checklist' is unlike the other behaviors checklists, because it evaluated not only negative but also positive behaviors. We provide these checklists to future clinical researchers. Let them understand the advantage and how to apply to future studies about environmental features in long-term care facilities and behaviors of residents.
