The purpose of this study is to examine the main sources of work stress for hospice medical team members by utilizing a questionnaire designed based on Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process. The 10 participants were recruited from hospice nursing members who have been working at 3 different hospitals in Kaohsiung, from September to December 2008. After prioritizing the sources of work stress for a variety of dimensions, this study proposes top five most emphasized including: feeling a patient is always dependent upon them, the team has no cohesiveness, feeling a patient expects to be cured, difficulty in working with a particular member (or members) on the unit, and feeling inadequately prepared to satisfy the needs of a patient.
