The purpose of this study is to apply rational decision-making methods to eliminate decision-making obstacles in crisis management. This study selected one social worker for case study. The social worker required at least 3 years of experience in social work and must have serious decision-making straits of his intervention. Adopting the case study, this study analyzed the rational decision-making in social work, during the period from September 2004 to January 2005. We found that any drawbacks to intuitive decisions can be overcome by using KT method. In addition, it provides intuitive decision-making using a systematic and structural decision-making process. Therefore, when combined with work experience and knowledge, social workers are able to eliminate decision-making obstacles and compensate for any drawbacks related to intuitive decision-making, which lacks a scientific decision-making process.The KT rational decision-making based methods allow a user accurately to improve decision-making quality by applying structural practical experiences and tacit knowledge.
