一位旅日職棒球員運動生涯之個案研究

本研究之研究目的乃是探討一名旅日職棒球員之運動生涯歷程，藉由研究參與者（化名Mark）的敘說，回顧其從事棒球運動期間的種種經歷過程以及當年抉擇出國前進日本，最後如何付出努力而進入日本職棒之生涯歷程；並由Mark的敘說，從中體驗運動員之運動生命經驗及反思回饋。採取之研究方法為質性訪談與文件分析：透過與研究參與者Mark的深入對談及蒐集之資料進行比對整理，依據Irving Seidman的三段式訪談進行。研究結果發現Mark的運動生涯可概分為四階段：出國前的少棒及青少棒時期、到日本求學時的學生時期、選秀進入日本職業棒球時期以及未來展望，這四階段中充滿抉擇、奮鬥、淚水、親情、榮耀等錯綜複雜的情感，令人感動。整個研究中所得到的反思之結論：透過體驗運動員之運動生命及經驗反思，本研究提供「勝利並非唯一界定成功的要素」，運動員的成功因素乃多元化條件聚集而成，其中包含有：對事情的熱情付出、情感上的支持、自我要求的毅力和正向思考模式。希望未來研究者對運動生命的傳承及運動員生涯的研究有另一番不同的思考模式。

The purpose of this study is to explore a Taiwanese professional baseball player's (Mark) career in Japan. The research methodology adopted in this thesis are qualitative interviews as well as document analysis. The methodology is based on Irving Seidman's three-stage interviews for in-depth interviews. The results showed that Mark's athletic career can be divided into four stages: youth baseball period before leaving Taiwan, studying in Japan, the Japanese professional baseball period, and future prospects. The four periods are full of complex emotions, such as choices, struggles, tears, family affection, and honor. In conclusion: ＂Victory is not the only defining factor of success.＂ The successful factors of athletes are composed by diverse conditions which include: the enthusiasm to pay for sports, emotional support, self-discipline perseverance and positive thinking. This research can provide different ideas of thinking about success of athletes.
