本研究旨在探討成年肢體障礙者身體形象、自卑和因應策略之關係;本研究以180位成年肢體障礙者為研究對象,研究工具則包括身體形象量表、自卑量表,以及因應策略量表,所得資料以描述性統計、t檢定、單因子變異數分析、Pearson積差相關等統計方法進行分析,歸納研究結果如下: 一、成年肢體障礙者對身體形象的呈現多在中下程度。 二、成年肢體障礙者的對自卑感的呈現多在中上程度。 三、成年肢體障礙者的因應策略大多選擇認知因應。 四、成年肢體障礙者的年齡、障礙的時間、障礙部位、目前是否在學、是否有任何的宗教信仰,會影響身體形象的呈現。 五、成年肢體障礙者的自卑感高低會受職業所影響。 六、成年肢體障礙者選擇行為因應策略會受宗教信仰所影響。 七、成年肢體障礙者身體形象越佳,則自卑感越低。 八、成年肢體障礙者身體形象越低,選擇因應策略中逃避與行為因應機會最高。 九、成年肢體障礙者的自卑感越低,選擇因應策略中認知因應的機會越高;自卑感越高,選擇因應策略中逃避因應的機會越高。 根據研究結果,本研究對成年肢體障礙者身體形象、自卑感和因應策略,以及未來研究方向提出建議。
The purpose of this study was to investigate the body image, feeling of inferiority and coping strategies among limbs and trunk disabled adults. This study selected 180 limbs and trunk disabled adults as subjects. The instruments of this study include Body-Image Scale, Feeling of Inferiority Scale, and Coping Strategies Scale. The data were analyzed by frequency distribution, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation. The major findings were as follows: 1. Body image of limbs and trunk disabled adults were below the average of score. 2. Feeling of inferiority of limbs and trunk disabled adults were above the average of score. 3. The majority of limbs and trunk disabled adults chose cognitive coping strategy. 4. Body image of limbs and trunk disabled adults were influenced by age, disability time, part of the disability, studying or not, religious belief or not. 5. Feeling of inferiority of limbs and trunk disabled adults were influenced by occupation. 6. Limbs and trunk disabled adults who chose cognitive coping strategy were influenced by their religious belief. 7. The higher body image limbs and trunk disabled adults have, the lower feeling of inferiority. 8. Limbs and trunk disabled adults with lower body image tend to choose escape and behavior coping strategies. 9. Limbs and trunk disabled adults with lower feeling of inferiority tend to choose cognitive coping strategies; on the contrary, limbs and trunk disabled adults with higher feeling of inferiority tend to choose escape coping strategies. According to the research results, the study provided some suggestions for body image, feeling of inferiority and coping strategies among limbs and trunk disabled adults, and the direction for future study.
