人員衝突對資訊系統專案成效的影響

The Impact of Interpersonal Conflict on the IS Project Performance

摘要


衝突對團隊的影響已被廣泛探討,先前的研究普遍發現人員衝突對專案有負面的影響,即使透過有效的流程仍無法加以控制。然而,這些文獻只檢視衝突對專案成功的直接影響,並未考慮衝突對專案開發可能產生其它正面效益。此研究檢視衝突在軟體產品品質與專案管理做測量,並考慮專案流程為中介因子。研究調查結果顯示,衝突對產品及專案管理績效確實都有負面影響,而且無法完全地被有效的程序調解。這意味著學者及企業雇主可在專案開發前就注意避免可能之衝突的有害影響。

The impact of conflict on the team performance has been discussed widely. Previous investigation generally finds that interpersonal conflict during development IS project can only have a negative impact on project, and it cannot be controlled even through effective processes. However, the investigation merely examines impact to project success measures, but not considers possible beneficial effects on some measures of project development. This work studies the impact of conflict on the quality of the software product as well as project management measures, and on the process as a mediator of formers both. The study result finds that the impact of conflict is negative on both measures indeed and is not fully mediated by effective processes. This implies that researchers and practitioners should turn their attentions earlier in a development project to prevent the detrimental effects of conflict.
