This research primarily explores the influence of job characteristics and quality of work life on professional commitment. In this research, 400 questionnaires were distributed to employees of the a International Commercial Bank situated in the Taipei area. Of the 246 returned questionnaires, 219 were complete questionnaires and 27 were invalid. The response rate was 54.75%. The research results show that (1) job characteristics has positive influence on professional commitment; (2) quality of work life has positive influence on professional commitment.
