有鑒於目前有關幽默現象的討論,多半以語文刺激為討論的材料;對於幽默現象的解釋,也以語文的內在處理為主要方向。本論文擬從外在刺激以及內在處理歷程,重新檢視幽默現象。從非語文刺激以及生理學上的討論,本論文認為:外在幽默刺激應包涵非語文的刺激;從訊息收錄以及訊息處理的討論,本論文認為:內在幽默歷程應增加心像經驗的討論。因此,對於幽默歷程提出一個新的雙路徑模式: (語意) 反向合意 幽默理解 (心像) 心像經驗 本論文針對上述的模式,以圖像式刺激(漫畫)為實驗材料,設計三個前測、與三個實驗,分別以問卷以及電腦方式,呈現不同設計目的之實驗材料,並分別計算熟悉程度、幽默程度,以及之間的差異性、比例顯著性。實驗一A說明幽默現象中,非語文刺激會對幽默造成影響;實驗一B說明非語文幽默刺激也會經由語文的處理。不過結果並不如預期,只發現預期中的差異傾向。實驗三說明非語文幽默刺激,若經由心像的處理,心像經驗將會影響幽默程度判斷;實驗三,說明兩路徑為一個整合的關係。而兩實驗結果都符合實驗預期。
In consideration of the discussion of humor nowadays is mostly talking about verbal stimulus. With regard to the explanation of humor, the major concern lies in the internal process of a language as well. Therefore, the purpose of this study plans to survey humor again, which is in a way observing from external stimulus and the internal process. As to the information-encoding and information- processing courses, we believe that external humor stimulus should include non-verbal stimulus; and internal process ought to raise a part talking about mental image experiences. We call that “ dual - process model of humor comprehension ”: feedback Not comprehension Not comprehension feedback Three pretests and four experiments were conducted in this study. Basically, the pictorial stimulus is used as a method, and it’s displayed with diverse materials, questionnaire and computers, which is meant to show distinct purposes. The aim of these experiments is to calculate the degree of how much the subjects get familiar; the degree of how humorous with the materials; the diversity among humors; and the remarkable percentage of all kinds of humors. Study 1A showed that non-verbal stimulus would cause effects on humor. As to the study 1B, it states that non-verbal stimulus would also be dealt with verbal process. However, the outcome is not as what the plan anticipates at first. Only the aim to find out the diversity of humor is detected. The study 3 find that mental image experiences would be affected if the non-verbal stimulus has already processed by images. Meanwhile, the Experiment 4 asserts that the dual - process model actually functions as an integrated system. In fact, the results of these two experiments fit in with the anticipation of the study in the very beginning.
